Buntspecht

Buntspecht consists of six musicians from Vienna, writing playful lyrics for mature adults – and for adults that never grew up. Buntspecht’s concerts can aptly be described as a musical stroke of luck. Neither head, belly, nor feet can escape the rousing energy of this young band from Vienna. Blending chanson, indie pop and Viennese folk music, theirs is a music that celebrates life in all of its forms — the melancholic moments as well as the ecstatic ones.

Buntspecht’s sixth album Konstrukt 5, produced by Jakob Herber and David Piribauer, was met with praise from both fans and critics alike. Following its release, the band embarked on a sold-out tour in spring 2025, captivating audiences with their electrifying performances.

Bunspecht consists of Lukas Klein (vocals, guitar, piano), Florentin Scheicher (melodica, trumpet, vocals), Roman Gessler (saxophones, flute), Jakob Lang (electric bass, double bass), Antonia Lucksch (cello, vocals).
